Torah Portion VaYelech

Deuteronomy 31:1-30

Hosea 14:1-9, Joel 2:15-27, Micah 7:18-20

This week’s Haftarah is for Shabbat Shuvah, the special Shabbat before Yom Kippur. In this portion we will discuss the importance of Yom Kippur, the importance of Teshuvah (repentance), the importance of not rejecting the dowry of the Land of Israel, and Yeshua as the Divine Warrior who defeated death! This year we will be spending approximately one hour on each of the Haftarah portions and investigating them from their historical setting and their ancient Near Eastern context as well as making connections back to the Torah Portion.  I pray that you will enjoy these teachings!
