Joshua 1:1-18
This week’s Haftarah is also known as Simchat Torah and is the final Haftarah portion of the year. In this Parashah we will discuss Joshua’s securing of the leadership through an oath as well as connections to the Psalms and more. This year we will be spending approximately one hour on each of the Haftarah portions and investigating them from their historical setting and their ancient Near Eastern context as well as making connections back to the Torah Portion.
