Torah Portion Vayeshev
Genesis 37:1 – 40:23
This year we will be going through the Torah portion cycle looking for themes which occur in each Torah portion that recurs throughout the rest of Scripture with a special focus on connecting them to the Apostolic Writings (New Testament).
In Vayeshev, Rico and I team up to discuss the theme of suffering and vindication that is found throughout the Bible. This also helps us to understand why the Gospels do not try to explain Yeshua’s death in terms of sacrifice but rather in terms of intense suffering!
