Torah Portion V’zot Ha’Brachah
Deuteronomy 33:1 – 34:12
This year we will be going through the Torah portion cycle looking for themes which occur in each Torah portion that recurs throughout the rest of Scripture with a special focus on connecting them to the Apostolic Writings (New Testament).
In V’zot Ha’Brachah, we will connect Moses death and transference of power to Joshua to 1 Corinthians 15 and the hope of resurrection. We will see how modern Western Christianity has tended to distort what the Gospel message truly is about by only focusing on the aspect of Christ’s death for the forgiveness of sins. We will see how Paul proclaims a Gospel that includes Yeshua’s death, but equally if not more important are his resurrection and his ascension to kingship as God’s regent over the whole earth.
