Matthew 11 – 13
In Messiah Revealed, we will begin with the discussion of John’s question “are you the one to come?” Understanding John’s predicament as well as Jewish messianic expectation of the day are key to understanding why John would ask this question and why Matthew’s audience would be interested as well. We will also discuss the heavy connections with this portion to the book of Jonah as well as the significance of the parables and the telling of parables.
The Messianic Gospel Cycle is a series studying the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts from a Messiah-centered perspective. The cycle is divided up into 52 portions and is designed to be read over the course of a year. You can download the reading plan here.
I was unable to limit the teaching to only one hour, so for those interested, there is a second hour of teaching available!
