The Blessings of Doing Campus Evangelism and Apologetics

For those that follow this blog may or may not know I don’t do online apologetics full time. Instead, I am the director of two evangelism and apologetic ministries at The Ohio State University (OSU) is one of the country’s largest campuses (64,000 students) and Columbus State Community College (CSCC) which has over 30,000 students. I am the director of Ratio Christi, a nationwide apologetics ministry at OSU and CSCC. Ratio Christi seeks to encourage and strengthen the faith of students at secular institutions across the country through the use of intellectual investigation and apologetics—while also sharing the Messiah’s message and love to those that have yet to receive it. I have been doing this since 2005. We focus on the three E’s: Evangelism, Equipping, and Educating. Situating these apologetic chapters at universities across the country is an important step in reversing the skepticism and other strongholds that are permeating many educational institutions. We do tabling outreach on a weekly basis. You can see us in action here: and here:

There are many other clips on my You Tube channel. You can also see my latest update letter here.
We see several students come to faith in the Lord. In the weekly meetings, we equip students with the methods to engage the campus on a regular basis. The apologetics ministry at Ohio State has been the host of lectures by scholars such as Dr. Michael Brown, Michael Licona, Frank Turek, and Dr. William Lane Craig. I have posted some of the clips on this blog.

We are always looking for new partners/supporters who believe in what we do. Please consider becoming a partner with us. Also, please see the following endorsements from two of these two prominent apologists.

“Many Christian students who attend a secular university graduate without their faith in tact— not because the evidence for Christianity is weak, but because they didn’t run into a person like Eric Chabot.  Eric is a bright beacon of truth at Ohio State University.   He’s been skillfully engaging students there for nearly 20 years, and has helped thousands see the reason for the hope that they have.  Every time I’ve spoken at OSU at Eric’s invitation (which is almost every year), I’m amazed by the reach and effectiveness he has on that campus. “– Dr. Frank Turek, co- author, of I Don’t Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist, and Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need to Make Their Case

“Eric Chabot and the team at The Ohio State University is doing amazing work. If you are interested in becoming a good Christian Case Maker, I highly recommend joining Eric and the entire team at the Ohio State campus” – Jim Wallace, author of Cold Case Christianity
